DESCRIPTION

When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one, it stores the vehicle information received from the ECM. If the forward recognition camera cannot store the vehicle information, DTC C1AAD is stored.

Note


  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION DTC OUTPUT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs Click here.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Tech Tips


      • If "Unknown" is displayed, the ECM cannot send vehicle information or the forward recognition camera cannot store the vehicle information. Check for DTCs, replace the ECM and recheck for DTCs. If the DTC is output again, replace the forward recognition camera.

      • If "Unknown" is not displayed, the DTC is stored even though the vehicle information is stored in the forward recognition camera. Replace the forward recognition camera.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Wait for approximately 1 minute.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs Click here.

    1. Replace the ECM.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    6. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
