DESCRIPTION

When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one, it stores the vehicle information received from the ECM. If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is different from that stored in the ECM, DTC C1AAC is stored.

Note


  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust Click here.

Tech Tips

This DTC is stored when the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera and that stored in the ECM do not match. If the forward recognition camera or ECM has been replaced, check if a forward recognition camera or ECM from another vehicle was used.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION DTC OUTPUT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs Click here.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Tech Tips


      • The vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is displayed on the Data List.

      • If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is different from the actual vehicle specifications, the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera may be incorrect. Check for DTCs and replace the forward recognition camera.

      • If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera matches the actual vehicle specifications, the installed ECM is incompatible. Replace the ECM with a correct one.

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    6. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
