RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (w/o Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

    Click here

  8. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  9. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (w/o Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  10. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  13. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

  14. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

  15. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator reserve tank assembly.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

      Disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      Disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose and clamp.

  18. DISCONNECT INLET NO. 1 OIL COOLER HOSE (w/ Oil Cooler)

      Disconnect the inlet No. 1 oil cooler hose.

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 2 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE (w/ Oil Cooler)

      Disconnect the No. 2 transmission oil cooler hose.

  20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  21. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

      Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    2. B001NTXE01
      *1 for LHD:
      *2 for RHD:

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable clamp and remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

    3. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 3 clamps and connector.

    2. B001OQ0

      Remove the 4 bolts and separate the condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Remove the radiator assembly with fan assembly.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly.

    4. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.

    5. B001OA6

      Release the 3 claws and lift the fan assembly from the radiator assembly.
