FUEL PUMP ECU REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

  4. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER PAD LH

  5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER PAD RH

  6. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for Rear Side)

  7. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

  8. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE ROPE HOOK (for LH Side)

  10. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH

  11. REMOVE FUEL PUMP CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 nuts.

    2. Disconnect the fuel pump control ECU assembly connector and remove the fuel pump control ECU assembly.

      Note

      Do not reuse the fuel pump control ECU assembly if it has been dropped or subjected to a severe impact.

      Tech Tips

      If a malfunction such as pump lock occurs and the fuel pump is damaged, excessive current may be continuously applied to the fuel pump control ECU assembly, damaging its internal parts. Make sure to replace the fuel pump control ECU assembly at the same time when replacing the fuel pump with filter assembly.
