CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL SOLENOID(for Bank 2) INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Clean the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH.

      Note

      Make sure the O-ring groove is free of foreign matter.

   2. 

      Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH.

      Note

      If reusing the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH, be sure to inspect the O-ring.

   3. Install a new O-ring to the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH.

      Note

      Do not damage the O-ring when installing it.

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the O-ring is necessary.

   4. Install the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH to the No. 2 timing gear cover assembly with the 2 new bolts.

      Torque:

      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      
      

      • If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or moved out of place when installing the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH.

   5. Connect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly LH connector.

3. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)

4. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

5. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

6. INSTALL RADIATOR COVER PLATE

7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
