ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM VSC OFF Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

Pressing the VSC OFF switch (satellite switch set) turns off TRC operation, and pressing and holding this switch turns off TRC and VSC operation. If TRC and VSC operations are turned off, the TRC OFF message will be displayed on the multi-information display and the VSC OFF indicator light will come on.

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (TRC/VSC OFF MODE)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Select the Data List on the GTS.

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY AND VSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Select the Active Test on the GTS.

  5. INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH SET


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Remove the VSC OFF switch (satellite switch set).

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY - SATELLITE SWITCH SET)


    1. Disconnect the A9 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A9-33 (CSW) or G59-2 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly (meter CPU) using the GTS.
