SLIDING ROOF HOUSING(for Sliding Roof) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      B007Z37 Remove in this Direction

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the map light bracket.

    3. A01RERL

      Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

      B007Z37 Remove in this Direction (1)
      B007YXL Remove in this Direction (2)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the guide (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to remove the sliding roof piece sub-assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

      Remove the rear sliding roof sunshade stopper as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

      B007Z37 Remove in this Direction

      Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.


    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Slide and remove the rear roof drip channel as shown in the illustration.

      B008043 Hold Position

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    4. A01RCH4C01
      *a Protective Tape
      B008043 Push Position
      B007Z37 Remove in this Direction

      Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable LH as shown in the illustration to remove it.

      Tech Tips


      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side.
