ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accel Sens. No.1 Volt % and Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %.

   5. Operate the accelerator pedal rod and check that the "Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %" and "Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %" values are within the specification.

      Standard Voltage (Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %)
      Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition Released 10 to 22% Depressed 52 to 90%

      Standard Voltage (Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %)
      Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition Released 24 to 40% Depressed 68 to 95%

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal rod, wire harness or ECM.
