DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR(w/ Glow Plug Controller) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    Tip:

The type of ignition switch used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. For the expressions used in this section, refer to the"Expressions of Ignition Switch" precaution.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / DPF Differential Pressure.

Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List

      Tester Display

      DPF Differential Pressure

    5. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose assembly from the differential pressure sensor assembly.

    7. Check the pressure value of the differential pressure sensor assembly.

      Standard Pressure

Approximately the same pressure as the applied pressure is indicated.

      Note:

Perform the inspection within the range of 0 to 98 kPa (0 to 1 kg/cm2, 0 to 14.2 psi).

If the result is not as specified, check the differential pressure sensor assembly circuit.
