EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (Sensor 2)

    Click here

  2. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    1. w/o Catalytic Converter:

      1. A322690

        Remove the 2 bolts and tail exhaust pipe assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. w/ Catalytic Converter:

      1. Remove the 2 bolts and tail exhaust pipe assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

    3. Disconnect the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    4. w/o Catalytic Converter:

      1. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    5. w/ Catalytic Converter:

      1. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

  3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

      w/o Catalytic Converter

      *B

      w/ Catalytic Converter

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. w/o Catalytic Converter:

      1. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. w/ Catalytic Converter:

      1. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst) from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    4. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold (TWC: Catalyst).
