FRONT DOOR LOCK INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)


    1. B007OEXE01

      Inspect the door lock motor & unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance when the switch is operated according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance
        LHD Models
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4

        ON (Door lock set to UNLOCK) 7 - 8 (Below 1 Ω)

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

        OFF (Door lock set to LOCK) 7 - 8 (10 kΩ or higher)
      2. B007VVGE01

        Measure the resistance when the switch is operated according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance
        RHD Models
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4

        ON (Door lock set to UNLOCK) 7 - 8 (Below 1 Ω)

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

        OFF (Door lock set to LOCK) 7 - 8 (10 kΩ or higher)
    2. B007VYNE01

      Inspect the key lock and unlock switch.


      1. Measure the resistance when the switch is operated according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance

        10 - 7 ON (Door lock set to UNLOCK) Below 1 Ω
        9 - 7 OFF (Door lock set to LOCK) Below 1 Ω

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)


    1. B007VVGE01

      Inspect the door lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

        Lock

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4

        Unlock

        Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.
