DESCRIPTION

When the stop and start system does not operate, check whether the operation is prohibited because the battery conditions are not met.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Trouble Codes.

    5. Read the DTCs.

      The status depend on the value of "Integrated Current", and OK/NG threshold differs according to the battery temperature.

      Prohibit: Engine started with the engine hood open and the ignition switch turned to START

      When Prohibit is displayed, the stop and start control will be prohibited until the ignition switch is turned off.
