BRAKE ACTUATOR (for LHD with VSC) REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface.

  3. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

      Use tags or make a note to identify the reconnection locations.

      Release the latch of the actuator connector and disconnect the connector.

    3. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the actuator.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and actuator with bracket.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and No. 3 brake actuator bracket.
