DESCRIPTION

The No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear left sensor) is installed to the rear bumper. The clearance warning ECU assembly detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear left sensor). If the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear left sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

Note

If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTCs.

  2. REPLACE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR LEFT SENSOR)


    1. Replace the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear left sensor) with a known good one.

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
