ROOF HEADLINING (for Extra Cab) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 SIDE RAIL SPACER LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear No. 3 side rail spacer.

  2. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 SIDE RAIL SPACER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SIDE RAIL SPACER LH


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear No. 2 side rail spacer.

  4. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SIDE RAIL SPACER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER (for LHD)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the side rail spacer.

  6. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER (for RHD)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LHD.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SIDE RAIL SPACER LH


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front side rail spacer.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SIDE RAIL SPACER RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. A01DY6H

        Place the roof headlining into the vehicle as shown in the illustration.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when placing it.

      2. Install the roof headlining with the 5 clips.

      3. Connect the connectors and attach the 4 clamps.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A01DY9P

        Place the roof headlining into the vehicle as shown in the illustration.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when placing it.

        Install the roof headlining with the clips.

      3. Connect the connectors and attach the 5 clamps.

    3. Attach the 5 clamps to the front pillar.

  10. INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the defroster nozzle assembly.

  11. INSTALL NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 3 heater to register duct.

    2. Install the clip.

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 heater to register duct.

    2. Install the clip.

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. Install the No. 2 heater to register duct with the 3 clips.

  14. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 3 guides, 2 claws and 3 clips to install the lower instrument panel finish panel.

  15. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP (w/ Assist Grip)


    1. Install the assist grip with the 2 screws.

    2. Attach the 4 claws to close the 2 covers.

  17. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER LH


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the holder.

    2. Install the screw.

  18. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER RH

  19. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.

    2. Attach the guide.

  21. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the light connector.

    2. Install the room light with the 2 screws.

      Attach the lens with the 4 claws.

  22. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Map Light)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 2 guides and claw.

    3. Install the 2 screws to install the map light assembly.

  23. INSTALL INNER UPPER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH


    1. Attach the 3 clips to install the inner upper roof side garnish.

    2. w/ Seat Cushion:


      1. Connect the rear seat belt shoulder anchor with the bolt.

        Torque:
        42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      2. Attach the 2 claws to close the rear seat belt shoulder anchor cover.

  24. INSTALL INNER UPPER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  25. INSTALL QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH


    1. Attach the 2 clips to install the quarter pillar garnish.

    2. Connect the front seat belt shoulder anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    3. Attach the 4 claws to install the front seat belt shoulder anchor cover.

  26. INSTALL QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  27. INSTALL QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH


    1. Attach the 7 clips, 3 guides and 4 claws to install the quarter inside trim board.

    2. Connect the front seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  28. INSTALL QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  29. INSTALL LOWER BACK PANEL GARNISH


    1. Attach the 5 clips, 2 guides and 6 claws to install the lower back panel garnish.

  30. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01E2RH

      Place the rear seatback assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Attach the 2 hooks to the vehicle body.

    3. Install the rear seatback assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 398 kgf*cm, 29 in.*lbf }

  31. INSTALL UPPER BACK PANEL GARNISH


    1. Attach the 5 clips and 4 claws to install the upper back panel garnish.

  32. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Cushion)


    1. A01DV67

      Attach the 2 hooks.

    2. A01DVFP

      Attach the hook to install the rear seat cushion assembly LH.

  33. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Cushion)

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  34. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH


    1. w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:


      1. Remove the protective cover.

    2. Attach the 2 guides and 2 clips to install the front pillar garnish.

  35. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  36. INSTALL FRONT ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Assist Grip)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both front assist grips.


    1. Install the front assist grip with the 2 screws.

  37. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ASSIST GRIP PLUG LH (w/ Assist Grip)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both front No. 1 assist grip plug.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front No. 1 assist grip plug.

  38. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ASSIST GRIP PLUG RH (w/ Assist Grip)

  39. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

    1. Align the paint mark on the front door opening trim with the mark position on the vehicle and install the front door opening trim as shown in the illustration.

    1. Attach the 4 clips and 8 claws to install the front door scuff plate.
