INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:
  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note:
    • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click hereClick hereClick here).

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick here).

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ASSIST GRIP PLUG LH

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ASSIST GRIP

  4. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

    1. B249093

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Remove the front No. 2 speaker and disconnect the speaker connector.

      Note:

      Do not touch the cone of the speaker.

  7. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

  8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

    1. B249094

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Remove the front No. 4 speaker and disconnect the speaker connector.

      Note:

      Do not touch the cone of the speaker.
