BLACK OUT TAPE(for Front Door) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:
  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:
    • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH

    1. Remove the front door rear window frame moulding (Click here).

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE LH

    Tip:

    When removing the black out tape, heat the vehicle body and black out tape using a heat light.

    Black Out Tape

    20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note:

    Do not heat the vehicle body or black out tape excessively.

    1. Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH

    Tip:

    When removing the outside stripe, heat the vehicle body and outside stripe using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the vehicle body or outside stripe excessively.

    1. Pull back an edge of the front door outside stripe and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

  5. REMOVE LOWER FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH

    When removing the outside stripe, heat the vehicle body and outside stripe using a heat light.
