CLUTCH UNIT(for C550) REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
REMOVE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK LEVER

Using 2 screwdrivers and a hammer, tap out the E-ring.

Remove the clip from the clutch release bearing assembly.

Pull the clutch release fork lever out of the manual transaxle assembly to remove the clutch release fork lever, and then remove the clutch release fork.

REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING ASSEMBLY

Remove the clutch release bearing assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.

REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK LEVER SHAFT OIL SEAL

Using a screwdriver, remove the clutch release fork lever shaft oil seal from the manual transaxle assembly.

REMOVE NO. 1 CLUTCH HOUSING COVER

Remove the No. 1 clutch housing cover from the manual transaxle assembly.

REMOVE CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY

Matchmark
Put matchmarks on the clutch cover assembly and flywheel sub-assembly.
Loosen each bolt 360° at a time until the spring tension is released.
Remove the 6 bolts and pull off the clutch cover assembly with the clutch disc assembly.
Note:Do not drop the clutch disc assembly.
Always replace the clutch cover assembly and the clutch disc assembly as a set.

REMOVE CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY
Remove the clutch disc assembly.
Note:Keep the lined part of the clutch disc assembly, the pressure plate, and the surface of the flywheel sub-assembly away from oil and foreign matter.
