WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM(w/ Rain Sensor) SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. AUTO WIPER SYSTEM

    1. General

      • The auto wiper system controls the wiper timing in accordance with the amount of rain drops that strike the windshield when the windshield wiper switch assembly is in AUTO.

      • The windshield wiper relay assembly controls the timing based on the signal from the rain sensor.

  2. HEADLIGHT CLEANER SYSTEM (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    1. The headlight cleaner system operates only one time for every 5 times the windshield washer switch is operated.

  3. WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING (w/ Wahser Fluid Warning System)

    1. When the volume of washer fluid decreases to below a certain level (when the level warning switch is turned on), the combination meter assembly warns the driver through the illumination of the master warning light on the washer warning light.

  4. WASHER NOZZLE HEATER SYSTEM (w/ WasherNozzle Heater)

    1. The washer nozzle heater system operates when the ambient temperature drops to 5°C (41°F) or less while the ignition switch is on.

    2. The washer nozzle heater system stops operating when the ignition switch is turned off, or when the ambient temperature reaches 6°C (42°F) or higher while the ignition switch is on.
