  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Receives signals from GPS satellites and transmits these signals to the radio and display receiver assembly*20 or navigation ECU*9.
    Steering Pad Switch Assembly
    • Sends operation signals from switches such as the volume switch and mode switch, to the spiral cable sub-assembly.*21

    • Sends operation signals from switches such as the volume switch, mode switch, seek switch, telephone switch and voice switch, to the spiral cable sub-assembly.*2

    Spiral Cable Sub-assembly Sends operation signals from the steering pad switch assembly to the radio receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2.
    Roof Console Box Sub-assembly Houses the manual (SOS) switch*22 and telephone microphone assembly*23.
    Telephone Microphone Assembly*23
    • Receives the user's voice through the microphone module.

    • Recognizes speech during voice recognition system operation and sends the audio signal to the telematics transceiver (data communication module)*22 or radio and display receiver assembly*24.*25

    Cooler Control Switch Assembly*26 Sends operation signals from switches such as the channel up/down switch, tune up/down switch, volume up/down switch, power switch and mode switch operation to the radio and display receiver assembly.
    No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly*23
    • Sends audio signals to the radio receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 when an auxiliary device is connected.

    • Communicates with the radio receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 via a USB communication line when a USB memory device, portable audio player (USB type) or Apple product is connected.

    • By connecting a smartphone with Toyota Link apps installed via a USB cable, communicates with the radio and display receiver assembly via a USB communication line.*12

    Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly*6 Amplifies audio signals sent from the radio and display receiver assembly and sends them to the speakers.
    Combination Meter Assembly
    • Sends vehicle speed signals to the radio receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2, telematics transceiver (data communication module)*22, stereo component amplifier assembly*6 and navigation ECU*9.

    • Displays the status information of each audio source, hands-free system and voice recognition system which is received from the radio and display receiver assembly on the multi-information display.*7

    • Sends operation signals to the radio and display receiver when the audio source and hands-free system settings are set on the multi-information display.*7

    Meter Mirror Sub-assembly*8 Receives audio source status information from the radio and display receiver assembly and displays the audio source status on the headup display.
    Telematics Transceiver (Data Communication Module)*22
    • Sends a part of audio signals sent from the radio receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*17 to the front No. 2 speaker assembly RH.
