PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

   1. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable with the 4 bolts.

      

      6.0 N*m

      61 kgf*cm

      53 in.*lbf

   2. 

      Attach the clamp.

   3. Install the casing cap with the bolt.

      6.0 N*m

      61 kgf*cm

      53 in.*lbf

   4. 

      Attach the spring clip of the No. 3 parking brake cable to the backing plate, as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      • Make sure the spring clip passes completely through the hole of the backing plate.

      • Make sure the projection of the casing cap faces upward.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

   1. Install the No. 2 parking brake cable with the 5 bolts.

      

      6.0 N*m

      61 kgf*cm

      53 in.*lbf

   2. 

      Attach the clamp.

   3. Install the casing cap with the bolt.

      6.0 N*m

   4. 

      Attach the spring clip of the No. 2 parking brake cable to the backing plate, as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      • Make sure the spring clip passes completely through the hole of the backing plate.

      • Make sure the projection of the casing cap faces upward.

3. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

   1. 

      Install the No. 2 front floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

4. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

   1. for 1ZR-FAE:

      Install the front exhaust pipe assembly (Click here).

   2. for 2ZR-FAE:

      Install the front exhaust pipe assembly (Click here).

   3. for 1WW:

      Install the front exhaust pipe assembly (Click here).

5. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH (for 1ZR-FAE)

   Click here

6. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH (for 2ZR-FAE)

   Click here

7. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH (for 1WW)

   Click here

8. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH (for 1ZR-FAE)

   Click here

9. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH (for 2ZR-FAE)

   Click here

10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH (for 1WW)

    Click here

11. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable (Click here).

12. CONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 3 parking brake cable.

13. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH

14. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

15. CONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE

    1. 

       Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable to the parking brake equalizer as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable to the parking brake equalizer.

       Tip:

       Use the same procedure described for the No. 3 parking brake cable.

16. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

17. CHECK PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

18. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

19. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the console box assembly (Click here).

20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Install the front seat assembly LH (Click here).

21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

23. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    1. Check the SRS warning light (Click here).

24. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

25. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
