VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL GAUGE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the transmission oil level gauge sub assembly from the transmission oil filler tube.

  3. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID

      Drain the automatic transmission fluid and remove the drain plug and gasket.

    2. Install the drain plug with a new gasket.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 205 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  4. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the oil filler tube with 2 bolts.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the oil filler tube.

  5. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Uniformly loosen the 19 bolts and remove the transmission oil pan sub-assembly

      Insert oil pan seal cutter between the transmission case and oil pan. Cut through the seal and remove the oil pan.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the oil pan and flange.

      • Do not incline the oil pan because of any fluid will remain in the oil pan.

      Remove the 3 magnet from the transmission oil pan.

  6. REMOVE VALVE BODY OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts, oil strainer assembly and 3 gaskets.

  7. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION WIRE

      Disconnect the ATF temperature sensor and 4 transmission solenoid connectors from the transmission valve body.

  8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 20 bolts.

    2. Remove the bolt and transmission solenoid assembly (SL1) and transmission solenoid assembly (SL2).

    3. Remove the bolt and solenoid lock plate and shift control solenoid (SLU)t.

    4. Remove the bolt and solenoid lock plate and line pressure control solenoid assembly (SLT).

    5. Remove the 2 O-rings from the 2 transmission solenoid assemblies (SL1, SL2).
