CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (for Single Cab)


    1. Attach the 2 claws and temporarily install the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration (arrows 1 through 4).

    2. Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration (arrows 5 and 6).

    3. Tighten the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration (arrows 1 through 3).

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly LH when installing it.

    4. Attach the 4 claws and install the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the curtain shield airbag assembly LH (arrows 4 through 11).

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly LH when installing it.

    5. A01DXHJ

      Connect the connector.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  2. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (for Extra Cab)


    1. Attach the 6 claws in the order shown in the illustration (arrows 1 through 6).

    2. Install the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration (arrows 7 through 10).

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly LH when installing it.

    3. Attach the 4 claws and install the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the curtain shield airbag assembly LH (arrows 11 through 18).

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly LH when installing it.

    4. A01DXHJ

      Connect the connector.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  3. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (for Double Cab)


    1. Attach the 9 claws and install the 9 bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly LH when installing it.

    2. A01DXHJ

      Connect the connector.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
