FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY(for TMMT Made) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 8NR-FTS)


    1. A001V61

      Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the outboard joint.

    2. Check that the inboard joint slides smoothly in the thrust direction.

    3. Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the inboard joint.

    4. Check the boots for damage.

    5. A001SI2C03
      *a LH Side and RH Side, 2WD
      *b RH Side, AWD

      Check whether each drive shaft dimension (A) is within specification.

      Dimension (A)
      Drive Type LH Side RH Side
      for 2WD 611.8 mm (2.01 ft.) 877.5 mm (2.88 ft.)
      for AWD 611.8 mm (2.01 ft.) 872.6 mm (2.86 ft.)

      Note

      Keep the drive shaft assembly level during inspection.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 3ZR-FAE)


    1. A001V61

      Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the outboard joint.

    2. Check that the inboard joint slides smoothly in the thrust direction.

    3. Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the inboard joint.

    4. Check the boots for damage.

      *b RH Side

      Check whether each drive shaft dimension (A) is within specification.

      LH Side RH Side
      590.5 mm (1.94 ft.) 887.1 mm (2.91 ft.)

      Note

      Keep the drive shaft assembly level during inspection.
