TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Pass the transmission control cable assembly into the vehicle and install the transmission control cable assembly to the vehicle body with the 3 nuts.

      5.0 N*m

      51 kgf*cm

      44 in.*lbf

    2. C299039N01

      Connect the transmission control select cable to the floor shift control lever housing support bracket with new clip (B).

    3. Connect the transmission control select cable to the manual transaxle assembly with the clip (A).

    4. C299038N01

      Connect the transmission control shift cable to the floor shift control lever housing support bracket with new clip (B).

    5. Connect the transmission control shift cable to the manual transaxle assembly with the clip (A).

    6. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness to the wire harness clamp bracket.

  2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

    1. Install the front No. 1 floor heat insulator to the vehicle body with the 3 nuts.

      5.5 N*m

  3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
