PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT LEVELING SWITCH

      Component without harness connected

      (Headlight Leveling Switch)

      Connect a (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and a (-) lead to terminal 4.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (Battery voltage is 12 V)
      2 - 1 0 9.48 to 10.2 V
      (0.5) 8.77 to 9.49 V
      1 8.06 to 8.78 V
      (1.5) 7.36 to 8.08 V
      2 6.65 to 7.37 V
      (2.5) 5.94 to 6.66 V
      3 5.23 to 5.95 V
      (3.5) 4.52 to 5.24 V
      4 3.82 to 4.54 V
      (4.5) 3.1 to 3.83 V
      5 2.4 to 3.12 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.

    3. Connect a (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and a (-) lead to terminal 4.

    4. Check that the illumination of the switch comes on.

      OK
      The illumination comes on.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.
