SLIDING ROOF HOUSING(for Sliding roof) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 SLIDING ROOF HOUSING PAD

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the guide as shown in the illustration to remove the map light bracket.

    3. B005WW7

      Remove the No. 2 sliding roof housing pad.

  2. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING PAD

      Remove the sliding roof housing pad.

  3. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B005VL4

      Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Detach the claw in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

    2. Detach the guide in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to remove the sliding roof channel.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

      Remove the rear sliding roof sunshade stopper as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

      Remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Do not disassemble the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly except when replacing it.

      B006BJ7 Hold Position

      Hold the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly until the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly goes over the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, slide the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly forward in the vehicle and release the lock.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side.

      B006DHE Slide in this Direction

      Using a screwdriver, slide the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly toward the rear of the vehicle as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips


      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    4. Pull the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

    5. Detach the claw and remove the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.
