IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

Fuel Pump Assembly Connector

No. 1 Ignition Coil Connector

Camshaft Position Sensor Connector
Disconnect the sensor wire connector.
Disconnect the fuel pump assembly connector.
Disconnect the No. 1 ignition coil connector.
Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.
Disengage the 2 clamps.
Remove the nut and separate the engine wire from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

Disconnect the 3 No. 1 ignition coil connectors.

Remove the 4 bolts and 4 No. 1 ignition coils from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
Note:If a No. 1 ignition coil has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Tip:Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

REMOVE SPARK PLUG
-
Using a 14 mm spark plug wrench, remove the 4 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
Note:If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Tip:Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
