REAR BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      B006DHE Install in this Direction

      Attach the claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Attach the clip to install the rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER SIDE RETAINER LH

      Attach the claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Attach the clip to install the rear bumper lower side retainer LH as shown in the illustration.

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER RETAINER LH

      Install the rear bumper lower retainer LH with the 4 screws.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for Type A:

        Insert the guide.

      2. B006EQ5

        Install the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

        Torque:
        20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. for Type B:

        B006DHE Install in this Direction

        Insert the guide.

      2. B006FHQ

        Install the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

        Torque:
        20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    3. for Type C:

        B006DHE Install in this Direction

        Insert the guide.

        Install the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

        Torque:
        20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT LH


    1. for Type A:

        B006DHE Install in this Direction

        Attach the claw.

      2. Install the rear bumper arm reinforcement LH with the bolt.

    2. for Type B:

        B006DHE Install in this Direction

        Attach the claw.

        Install the rear bumper arm reinforcement LH with the clip.

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. for Type A:

        Attach the guide to install the rear bumper energy absorber.

    2. for Type B:

        Install the rear bumper energy absorber.

    3. for Type C:

        Attach the guide to install the rear bumper energy absorber.

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM

    Tech Tips

    When installing the rear bumper arm, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.


    1. When reusing the rear bumper cover:


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover installation surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover.

    3. Remove the peeling paper from a new 2 rear bumper arm.

      *a Mark-off Line

      Align the 2 rear bumper arm with the mark-off line of the rear bumper cover.

      Tech Tips


      • Press the rear bumper arm firmly to install it.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 moulding tape, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.


    1. When reusing the rear bumper cover:


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover installation surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover.

    3. Remove the peeling paper from a new No. 1 moulding tape.

      Align the No. 1 moulding tape with the mark-off line of the rear bumper cover.

      Tech Tips


      • Press the No. 1 moulding tape firmly to install it.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    5. Remove the application tape.

  13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE LH

      Install the anti-drop hook.

    2. Attach the claw to install the rear bumper piece LH.

  14. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

    2. Install the reflex reflector assembly LH with the screw.

  17. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER

      Insert the rear bumper cover to the rear bumper lower cover.

      Attach the claw.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      Install the 2 clips.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  18. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH

    2. Install the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

  20. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    2. Install the rear bumper extension sub-assembly LH with the 2 grommets and 2 screws.

    3. Install the 2 clips.

    1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 3 luggage room wire.

    2. Connect the 4 connectors.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive loads to the retainer. Otherwise, it may peel off.
