INSPECT FUEL PUMP
Check the fuel pump resistance.
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 4 and 5.

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump.
Check fuel pump operation.
Apply battery voltage to terminals 4 and 5. Check that the pump operates.
Note
This test must be completed within 10 seconds to prevent the coil from burning out.
Keep fuel pump as far away from the battery as possible.
Always turn on and off the voltage on the battery side, not the fuel pump side.
If the pump does not operate, replace the fuel pump.
INSPECT FUEL PUMP RELAY ASSEMBLY
Check the resistance.
Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between each terminal.

Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between terminals 3 and 5 when the battery voltage is applied across terminals 1 and 2.
