RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Start up the engine.
Turn the A/C switch on.
Operate the cooler compressor at an engine rpm of approximately 1,000 for 5 to 6 minutes to circulate the refrigerant and collect compressor oil remaining in each component into the cooler compressor as much as possible.
Stop the engine.
Using SST, let the refrigerant gas out.
REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT
| *a | Service Hole |
| *b | Pin |
While turning the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly clockwise, align the service holes of the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly, and then insert a pin with a diameter of 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) into the service holes to fix the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly in place.
Remove the fan and generator V belt.
REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler compressor assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
Note
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE
Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose from the cooler compressor assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose.
Note
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
Detach the clamp and disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and cooler compressor assembly.
