  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Rain Sensor)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Front Wiper Switch
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D33-3 (+1) - D33-1 (+S) OFF Below 1 Ω
      D33-3 (+1) - D33-2 (+B) MIST
      LO
      D33-2 (+B) - D33-4 (+2) HI
      D33-3 (+1) - D33-1 (+S) AUTO
      D33-9 (AUTO) - D33-10 (E)
      Front Washer Switch
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D34-2 (EW) - D34-3 (WF) ON Below 1 Ω
      OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      Rear Wiper Switch (w/ Rear Wiper)
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D34-2 (EW) - D34-6 (C1R) LO Below 1 Ω
      D34-2 (EW) - D34-7 (+1R) HI
      D34-2 (EW) - D34-6 (C1R) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      D34-2 (EW) - D34-7 (+1R)
      Rear Washer Switch (w/ Rear Wiper)
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D34-2 (EW) - D33-5 (WR) ON Below 1 Ω

      Adjusting Ring*

      D33-7 (VR1) - D33-8 (VR2) P1 10 kΩ or higher

      P4 Below 1 Ω

      Tech Tips

      *: The rain sensor sensitivity can be adjusted by the windshield wiper switch adjusting ring.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
