FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

  • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage Click here.

Tech Tips

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the rubber band.

    2. A0059OA

      Disengage the fastener and separate the airbag wire harness.

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the seat heater wire harness.

  3. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. A005DL0

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
