REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY(for TMC Made) INSPECTION

Note


  • When using a vise, place aluminum plates between the part and vise.

  • When using a vise, do not overtighten it.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY


    1. A001XKX

      Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the outboard joint.

    2. Check that the inboard joint slides smoothly in the thrust direction.

    3. Check that there is no severe play in the radial direction of the inboard joint.

    4. Check the 2 joint boots for damage.

    5. A001VY5N04

      Check whether the drive shaft dimensions (A) are within the following specifications.

      Dimension (A)
      LH Side RH Side
      742.2 mm (2.44 ft.) 728.7 mm (2.39 ft.)

      Note

      Keep the drive shaft assembly level during inspection.

      If the boots are stretched or contracted, correct them.
