OUTLINE
A lightweight, highly rigid MacPherson strut suspension has been adopted as the front suspension system for the next generation of front-engine rear-wheel-drive sports cars, offering both sports car performance and fuel efficiency.
A layout that achieves a low center of gravity and low inertia that pushes the merits of a front-boxer-engine rear-wheel-drive configuration to the front has been adopted in order to gain handling that feels more direct, sharper response, and more outstanding controllability, and high rigidity has been implemented for the entire front suspension system.
A new strut layout has been adopted that lowers the location of the front suspension support sub-assembly as much as possible in order to achieve lighter weight, and a low center of gravity, and a lower hood with visually appealing aerodynamic characteristics.
