TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM(w/ Simple Intelligent Parking Assist System) Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit consists of the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer, No. 2 clearance warning buzzer and clearance warning ECU assembly. An ECU-excited type buzzer is used. The ECU operates the buzzers using a sound pattern that changes depending on the distance to the obstacle.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER


    1. Check the operation of the No. 1 and No. 2 clearance warning buzzers.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (FRONT BUZZER)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar / Active Test.

    5. Check that the front buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)


    1. Disconnect the F37 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F35 No. 1 clearance warning buzzer connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. REPLACE NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER


    1. Replace the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer with a new or known good one.

    5. Check that the rear buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

    2. Disconnect the F55 No. 2 clearance warning buzzer connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
