TRAP CANISTER(w/ Canister Pump Module) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL CANISTER PUMP MODULE


    1. B008IQZ

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new canister pump module to the trap canister.

      Note


      • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-rings.


      • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.

  2. INSTALL TRAP CANISTER WITH CANISTER PUMP MODULE


    1. Install the trap canister with canister pump module with the bolt.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the canister pump module connector.

    3. Connect the air inlet hose to the trap canister with canister pump module.


      1. Check that the retainer is secured inside the housing.

      2. Insert the air inlet line hose straight into the pipe and push it in until a clicking sound is heard.

        Note


        • Check for damage or foreign objects on the connected part.

        • After connecting the air inlet line hose, check that the air inlet line hose and valve are securely connected by pulling on them.

      *1 Fuel Vent Hose Sub-assembly (Air Inlet Line Hose)
      *a Retainer
      *b Push

      Connect the fuel vent hose sub-assembly (air inlet line hose) to the charcoal canister assembly.


      1. Push the fuel vent hose sub-assembly (air inlet line hose) into the vent line port and push the retainer to lock it.

        Note


        • Check for damage or foreign objects on the connected part.

        • After connecting the fuel vent hose sub-assembly (air inlet line hose), check that the fuel vent hose sub-assembly (air inlet line hose) and valve are securely connected by pulling on them.
