COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE BATTERY

  5. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY

    1. A325266

      Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

    2. A325581

      Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    3. Disengage the clamp.

    4. A325267

      Remove the bolt.

    5. Disengage the claw.

    6. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  7. REMOVE COOLING FAN MOTOR WITH FAN

    1. A332002

      Disengage the wire harness from the clamp.

    2. Remove the 3 "TORX" screws and cooling fan motor with fan.
