DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives a sensor supply voltage malfunction signal from the acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor).

  • When replacing the acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor), perform zero point calibration and store system information.

    Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG TERMINAL)


    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

    2. Disconnect the G42 acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) connector.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      w/ Stop and Start System:
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G42-4 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10.5 to 16 V
      w/o Stop and Start System:
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G42-4 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Reconnect the G42 acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) connector.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Turn the engine switch off.

    4. Start the engine.

    5. Perform a road test.

    6. Check if the same DTC is output.
