COOLER EXPANSION VALVE REMOVAL
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
When removing the cooler expansion valve by itself, be sure to install a new cooler expansion valve.
PROCEDURE
RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER (for 1KR-FE)
REMOVE FRONT UPPER BUMPER SUPPORT (for 1KR-FE)
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 1PP)
DISCONNECT AIRCONDITIONER HOSE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (for 1KR-FE)

Remove the bolt from radiator support sub-assembly.
Remove the nut and disconnect the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.
Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.
Note:Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

DISCONNECT AIRCONDITIONER HOSE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (for 1PP)

Remove the nut and disconnect the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.
Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioner hose and accessory assembly.
Note:Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts.
Remove the cooler expansion valve.

No. 1 Cooler Evaporator Sub-assembly
Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
