FRONT PILLAR UPPER COVER INSTALLATION
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
INSTALL UPPER FRONT PILLAR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Tip:When installing a new upper front pillar cover sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and upper front pillar cover sub-assembly using a heat light.

Upper Front Pillar Cover Sub-assembly
20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
Note:Do not heat the vehicle body or upper front pillar cover sub-assembly excessively.
Clean the vehicle body surface.
Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
Remove any double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
Install a new upper front pillar cover sub-assembly.
Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and upper front pillar cover sub-assembly.
Remove the release paper from the upper front pillar cover sub-assembly.
Tip:After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

Double-sided Tape
Engage the 2 claws and 5 clips and attach the double-sided tape to install the upper front pillar cover sub-assembly.
Tip:Press the upper front pillar cover sub-assembly firmly to install it.
