EGR COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY

      Slide the clamp and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

    2. A257334

      Remove the nut and bolt, and disconnect the No. 1 EGR pipe from the EGR cooler assembly.

    3. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt from the EGR cooler assembly.

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass pipe from the EGR cooler assembly.

      Remove the nut, bolt and remove the EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

    6. Remove the 2 gaskets from the No. 1 EGR pipe and No. 1 water by-pass pipe.
