VACUUM REGULATING VALVE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT VACUUM REGULATING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection

      Condition

      Specified Condition

      1 - 2

      20°C (68°F)

      11.1 to 12.5 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum regulating valve assembly.

    2. Inspect vacuum regulating valve operation.

        Check that air flows from port E to G.

        Air

        Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2 as shown in the illustration.

      3. Check that air flows from port E to the filter.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum regulating valve assembly.
