PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   1. Temporarily install the park/neutral position switch assembly to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 2 bolts.

   2. 

      Install the lock plate and lock nut to the park/neutral position switch assembly.

      6.9 N*m

      70 kgf*cm

      61 in.*lbf

   3. Temporarily install the control shaft lever.

   4. 

      *a	P Position
      *b	N Position

      Turn the lever clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise 2 notches.

   5. Remove the control shaft lever from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

   6. 

      *a	Neutral Basic Line
      *b	Indicator

      Align the indicator with the neutral basic line.

   7. Hold the switch in that position and tighten the 2 bolts.

      5.4 N*m

      55 kgf*cm

      48 in.*lbf

   8. 

      Using a screwdriver, stake the lock nut with the lock plate.

   9. Install the control shaft lever to the park/neutral position switch assembly with the nut and washer.

      12.7 N*m

      130 kgf*cm

      9 ft.*lbf

   10. Connect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   1. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket with a new clip.

   2. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the control shaft lever with the nut.

      12 N*m

      122 kgf*cm

      9 ft.*lbf

7. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

8. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

9. ADJUST PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

10. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION
