DESCRIPTION

  • When a door control transmitter assembly is used to turn the ignition switch to ON, the transponder key coil receives the key ID code and sends it to the transponder key ECU assembly.

  • If an error in communication between the transponder key coil and transponder key ECU assembly occurs, this symptom may occur.

PROCEDURE

  1. CLEAR DTC

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Clear DTCs

      Body Electrical > Immobiliser > Clear DTCs

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (IMMOBILISER)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Replace the transponder key ECU assembly with a new one.

      Tip:

      Refer to Service Bulletin.

      Note:

      Key ID code registration is necessary when replacing the transponder key ECU assembly, refer to Service Bulletin.
