REAR SPEED SENSOR(for 2WD) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

  • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  • If the rear speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER

  3. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE REAR DISC

    Click here

  5. SEPARATE REAR NO. 1 SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

      Remove the bolt and separate the rear No. 1 skid control sensor wire.

    2. B007ZI2C02
      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the rear No. 1 skid control sensor wire connector from the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  6. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

      Tech Tips


      • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
