FRONT WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP


    1. Remove the 2 caps.

  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM & BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the nut and arm & blade.

  4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM & BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Remove the nut and arm & blade.

  5. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL

    1. Detach the 9 clips and remove the seal.

  6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the louver.

  7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH

    1. Detach the 5 claws and remove the louver.

  8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR & LINK ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Move the wiper cushion in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to detach the wiper cushion from the body, and remove the wiper motor & link.

  9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver, disconnect the 2 rods of the wiper link from the wiper motor as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Using a T30 ''torx'' socket, remove the 2 bolts and wiper motor.
