SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR (for Single Cab) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate LH.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 clips and 8 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

  5. REMOVE LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL LH

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt floor anchor.

    2. A01DV7M

      Detach the claw, 3 clips and 2 guides and remove the lower quarter trim panel LH.

  6. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01DWD4

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and side airbag sensor assembly LH.
