AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DISASSEMBLY

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. B008H69

      Disconnect the No. 1 blower damper servo sub-assembly connector.

    2. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the air conditioning harness assembly.

      Remove the 2 screws.

    4. Detach the 2 claws and remove the air conditioning radiator assembly.

  2. REMOVE ASPIRATOR


    1. B008HFA

      Remove the aspirator hose.

    2. B008ITF

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the aspirator.

  3. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY


    1. B008J2K

      Disconnect the air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Remove the screw.

    3. Detach the guide and remove the air conditioning amplifier assembly as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE DRAIN COOLER HOSE


    1. B008GXK

      Remove the drain cooler hose.

  5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the air conditioning harness assembly.

  6. REMOVE HEATER COVER (for RHD)

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER COVER (except Cold Area)

      Remove the screws and No. 2 heater cover.

  8. REMOVE QUICK HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area)

      Remove the screw and quick heater assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 screws and No. 1 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B008IZI

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the clamp.

    3. B008HN3

      Remove the heater radiator unit sub-assembly from the air conditioning radiator assembly.

  12. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE


    1. Remove the cooling unit packing.

    2. B008ISM

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and cooler expansion valve.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B008HCR

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the 10 claws and 8 guides, and remove the upper heater case.

    3. B008JFK

      Detach the clamp.

    4. Remove the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly with the No. 1 cooler thermistor.

    5. Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR
