EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:


  • Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe assembly.

  • The exhaust pipe assembly is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.

  • Confirm that the exhaust pipe assembly has cooled down before removing it.

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (w/o Canister Pump Module)


    1. B008JBSE01

      Detach the harness clamp and disconnect the grommet from the floor panel.

    2. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the heated oxygen sensor.

  2. DISCONNECT AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (w/ Canister Pump Module)

      Detach the harness clamp and disconnect the grommet from the floor panel.

    2. Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio senser from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the air fuel ratio senser.

  3. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Disconnect the 2 exhaust pipe supports and remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

    3. Remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

  4. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disconnect the 3 exhaust pipe supports and remove the center exhaust pipe assembly.

    3. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

  5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.
